We are delighted to have achieved certification to ISO 45001, the latest occupational health and safety standard, following a successful audit.
Platinum Facilities previously held OHSAS 18001 certification for health and safety management. The new ISO 45001 standard has the same core aim of reducing unacceptable risks and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in an organization’s activities. However, the scope of the new standard is broader and it requires companies to also consider how suppliers and contractors manage risk, and to integrate health and safety management with other management systems.
Ed Gee, SHEQ Director Platinum Facilities commented: “We are delighted to have achieved the ISO 45001 Certification of Registration, well ahead of the 30th September 2021 deadline. Along with this year’s British Safety Council Award and ROSPA Gold Medal Award, this continues to demonstrate the extremely high risk management and safety culture throughout the Platinum Facilities business. I am extremely proud of everyone that is involved in ensuring the wellbeing of our employees and the clients we support, and in making Platinum an extremely safe environment to work in.”
